Crystal Mango
Crystal is the option we offer when a buyer likes the Awais/Owais eating style but needs a less sugary mango for their market. The fruit stays aromatic and low-fibre; the difference is a cleaner, slightly more restrained finish that some European and East Asian programmes prefer. It is a late-summer into early-autumn variety here — September to October — which helps stretch Egyptian mango availability after the June–August peak. Specify Crystal when your customers have pushed back on very high Brix dessert mangoes.
