Kingstone Mango
Kingstone (Kingston) combines an aromatic, lightly tangy flavour with yellow skin and a red blush — more visual interest than a plain green commercial mango, without moving into the ultra-soft dessert group. Flesh is firm with medium-low fibre, which is the combination we pack for mixed export pallets. Season is August to September, in step with Keitt and Tommy Atkins. Brief Kingstone when you want Egyptian mango that still looks distinctive on a retail shelf after a sea voyage.
