R2E2 Mango
R2E2 is the extra-large orange-red mango we pack when display size is part of the brief. It holds in storage better than the soft Egyptian dessert types, which is why it shows up on long-distance programmes and in retailers that sell mangoes as a statement fruit. Calibre is the headline; flavour is pleasant and commercial. We harvest August to September alongside Keitt and Austin. If your market pays for size and colour together, R2E2 is the Egyptian mango to put on the order.
