Tommy Atkins Mango
Tommy Atkins remains the global commercial mango for a reason: red-green colour, firm flesh, and the ability to withstand long transport with a usable shelf life after arrival. Fibre is higher than Keitt or Awais — we do not pretend otherwise — and many supermarket programmes still specify it because claims stay low. Our Egyptian Tommy Atkins runs August to September. Put it on the programme when destination transit time or retailer handling is the constraint, and pair it with Keitt or R2E2 if you also need a low-fibre or oversized line.
